Kent & Judy Anderson
About the Anderson's ~
Favorite Scripture: “Throw out the net and see what happens.” (John 21:6, The Message)
“I’m a clod-kicker,” Kent proclaims. “My grandpa was a church planter in Nebraska and I grew up a pastor’s kid in a town of 520. There were only twenty students in my graduating class—thankfully, I graduated in the top ten!”
Kent and Judy are one of Rural Compassion’s missionary teams, serving together to partner with and bring hope to the pastors of rural communities. They are deeply involved in training pastors of rural congregations, developing mentoring relationships, and equipping the pastors to mobilize their churches to engage and serve their communities. Kent and Judy have witnessed the transforming power of the Spirit in a community over time.
“When rural pastors get together and dream and pray, the doors of the imagination are opened and the fresh breath of the Spirit moves. As a church, making a difference in the community starts by serving those who are overlooked.”
Kent and Judy have more than 27 years in pastoral ministry which have prepared them to be used by God across the country. They have recently started mountain biking together and love to spend time with their three daughters and two grandchildren.
